Ranbir Kapoor goes affordable for authenticity
Ranbir Kapoor ditched designer wear for a much much less expensive outfit for a poster graphic of 'Besharam'.
The motive: He wanted to remain real to his character, which is that of a tapori. In the poster, Ranbir is witnessed sporting a yellow T-shirt and a multi-colored jacket, which seemingly cost only `1,000. Says director Abhinav Kashyap, "Ranbir's austerity and devotion moved me, simply because it is so unlike a star to do that. When I tease him about this, he claims that he is an actor and not a star."
The director adds, "Ranbir is a delight to do the job with. He has presented his all to the function - be it rising hair on his upper body or transforming the way he walks. He intently observed the search that Amitabh Bachchan sported in the 70s and has attempted to duplicate it."
