Labourer falls from products provider dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head injuries immediately after he fell off a goods provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car or truck has been arrested.
According to Calangute police, the incident took position at all-around one.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a outcome of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Though the driver was negotiating a curve to go towards Nagoa, the carrier portion of the pick-up fell on the highway and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting inside the carrier fell off, suffering significant head injuries.
Chawan, a indigenous of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district medical center at Mapusa, but breathed his very last on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested beneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later on introduced on bail.
