Labourer falls from products provider dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents immediately after he fell off a products carrier at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car or truck has been arrested.
According to Calangute police, the incident took place at all around 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a consequence of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Though the driver was negotiating a curve to go towards Nagoa, the provider portion of the choose-up fell on the street and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting down within the carrier fell off, struggling major head accidents.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district hospital at Mapusa, but breathed his previous on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested underneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later on released on bail.
