Labourer falls from products provider dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents right after he fell off a items provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took position at all-around 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. When the driver was negotiating a curve to go towards Nagoa, the provider part of the pick-up fell on the street and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting inside of the carrier fell off, suffering significant head injuries.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district healthcare facility at Mapusa, but breathed his previous on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested below Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and afterwards launched on bail.
