Labourer falls from items carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head injuries soon after he fell off a goods provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the motor vehicle has been arrested.
According to Calangute police, the incident took location at all-around 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. While the driver was negotiating a curve to go towards Nagoa, the carrier part of the choose-up fell on the street and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting inside of the provider fell off, struggling critical head accidents.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district healthcare facility at Mapusa, but breathed his very last on the way.
