Labourer falls from items carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents after he fell off a items provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the auto has been arrested.
According to Calangute police, the incident took place at all-around 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a consequence of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Though the driver was negotiating a curve to go toward Nagoa, the provider portion of the choose-up fell on the highway and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting down within the carrier fell off, struggling critical head injuries.
Chawan, a indigenous of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district hospital at Mapusa, but breathed his last on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested less than Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later on unveiled on bail.
