Labourer falls from items carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head injuries immediately after he fell off a goods provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the automobile has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took spot at all-around one.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Although the driver was negotiating a curve to go to Nagoa, the carrier segment of the select-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting within the carrier fell off, struggling major head accidents.
Chawan, a indigenous of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district medical center at Mapusa, but breathed his previous on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested underneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later released on bail.
