Labourer falls from items carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head injuries just after he fell off a items provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the auto has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took spot at around one.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Though the driver was negotiating a curve to go in direction of Nagoa, the carrier section of the decide on-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting inside the carrier fell off, suffering critical head accidents.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district medical center at Mapusa, but breathed his past on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested underneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later produced on bail.
