Labourer falls from items carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents after he fell off a items carrier at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the auto has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took position at all over 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Though the driver was negotiating a curve to go towards Nagoa, the provider section of the decide on-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting inside the provider fell off, struggling significant head injuries.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district healthcare facility at Mapusa, but breathed his final on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested underneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and afterwards launched on bail.
