Labourer falls from goods carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents following he fell off a merchandise provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took place at around one.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a final result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Though the driver was negotiating a curve to go towards Nagoa, the provider area of the choose-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting down within the provider fell off, struggling major head accidents.
Chawan, a indigenous of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district medical center at Mapusa, but breathed his past on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested beneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and afterwards produced on bail.
