CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents soon after he fell off a products provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car or truck has been arrested.
According to Calangute police, the incident took position at around 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a end result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Whilst the driver was negotiating a curve to go to Nagoa, the provider segment of the choose-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting down inside the provider fell off, suffering severe head accidents.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district hospital at Mapusa, but breathed his last on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested beneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later launched on bail.
