Ranbir Kapoor goes low-cost for authenticity
Ranbir Kapoor ditched designer don for a much cheaper outfit for a poster picture of 'Besharam'.
The purpose: He wanted to keep real to his character, which is that of a tapori. In the poster, Ranbir is viewed sporting a yellow T-shirt and a multi-colored jacket, which apparently cost only `1,000. Claims director Abhinav Kashyap, "Ranbir's austerity and dedication moved me, due to the fact it is so contrary to a star to do that. Whenever I tease him about this, he says that he is an actor and not a star."
The director provides, "Ranbir is a delight to function with. He has specified his all to the part - be it rising hair on his chest or changing the way he walks. He closely observed the search that Amitabh Bachchan sported in the 70s and has tried using to duplicate it."
