Ranbir Kapoor goes inexpensive for authenticity
Ranbir Kapoor ditched designer wear for a significantly more affordable outfit for a poster image of 'Besharam'.
The motive: He wished to remain legitimate to his character, which is that of a tapori. In the poster, Ranbir is observed sporting a yellow T-shirt and a multi-coloured jacket, which seemingly price only `1,000. Claims director Abhinav Kashyap, "Ranbir's austerity and devotion moved me, because it is so not like a star to do that. Anytime I tease him about this, he suggests that he is an actor and not a star."
The director adds, "Ranbir is a delight to perform with. He has offered his all to the role - be it increasing hair on his upper body or modifying the way he walks. He carefully noticed the look that Amitabh Bachchan sported in the 70s and has experimented with to replicate it."
