Labourer falls from products carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head injuries just after he fell off a products carrier at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car or truck has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took location at about one.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. While the driver was negotiating a curve to go toward Nagoa, the provider part of the choose-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting down within the provider fell off, struggling serious head accidents.
Chawan, a indigenous of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district healthcare facility at Mapusa, but breathed his past on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested underneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later on introduced on bail.
