Labourer falls from products carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents following he fell off a products carrier at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car or truck has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took position at all over 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a final result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Although the driver was negotiating a curve to go to Nagoa, the carrier portion of the pick-up fell on the highway and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting within the carrier fell off, struggling significant head injuries.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district medical center at Mapusa, but breathed his very last on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested below Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and afterwards launched on bail.
