Labourer falls from products carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents soon after he fell off a goods carrier at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took spot at all around one.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a final result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Though the driver was negotiating a curve to go in the direction of Nagoa, the provider section of the pick-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting down within the carrier fell off, suffering really serious head accidents.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district hospital at Mapusa, but breathed his final on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested under Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and afterwards unveiled on bail.
