Labourer falls from products carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head injuries immediately after he fell off a goods carrier at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the auto has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took spot at all over 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Although the driver was negotiating a curve to go toward Nagoa, the provider segment of the choose-up fell on the highway and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting down within the carrier fell off, struggling serious head injuries.
Chawan, a indigenous of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district hospital at Mapusa, but breathed his very last on the way.
