Labourer falls from merchandise provider dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head injuries just after he fell off a goods carrier at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the automobile has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took area at close to one.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a final result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Although the driver was negotiating a curve to go toward Nagoa, the carrier portion of the decide-up fell on the street and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting down inside the carrier fell off, suffering serious head accidents.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district hospital at Mapusa, but breathed his past on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested less than Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later produced on bail.
