Labourer falls from merchandise provider dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents following he fell off a products provider at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car or truck has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took position at close to 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a result of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Though the driver was negotiating a curve to go to Nagoa, the carrier area of the select-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting inside the carrier fell off, struggling critical head injuries.
Chawan, a indigenous of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district healthcare facility at Mapusa, but breathed his final on the way.
The driver, a resident of Colvale, was arrested underneath Sections 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code and later unveiled on bail.
