Labourer falls from merchandise carrier dies
CALANGUTE: A labourer died of head accidents soon after he fell off a products carrier at Saligao on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the motor vehicle has been arrested.
According to Calangute law enforcement, the incident took position at all-around 1.40pm at Grand Morod in Saligao, as a consequence of rash driving by Vinay Baburao Mandrekar. Even though the driver was negotiating a curve to go in the direction of Nagoa, the carrier part of the decide on-up fell on the road and a labourer, Laku Tolu Chawan, who was sitting within the provider fell off, suffering severe head accidents.
Chawan, a native of Karnataka, residing at Arradi in Candolim, was rushed to the district hospital at Mapusa, but breathed his past on the way.
